Lantang Trek-Tea House |
| Langtang is situated
in the north of Kathmandu and this area is mostly
populated by an ethenic group known as the Tamangs.
The culture, language and customs are very similar
to the Tibetans.
The views of the snowy mountains peaks; : Langtang
Lirung (7,246m), Gangcheepo (5,846m), and Lakpa
Dorje (6,966m) are excellent. The Langtang Valley
is also an another marvelous attraction for trekkers.
The trek begins with a drive by either local
or reserved bus from Kathmandu to Dhunche. The
journey takes approximately 6-7 hours (12kms.)

| Day 01 : |
Arrival at TIA and transfer to Hotel |
| Day 02 : |
Sight seeing to Kathmandu city. |
| Day 03 : |
Kathmandu to Dhunche (1,950m) :
The breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna II,
Ganesh Himal and other minor peaks are visible
along the drive. |
| Day 04 : |
Dhunche to Syabru (2,119m) :
This trail follows a deep valley to shorten
the trek. Next is the climb of 2300m to reach
the Tamang Village of Syabru. The trail cuts
through a bamboo forest giving you the chance
to see many birds. |
| Day 05 : |
Syabru to Lama Hotel (2,380m) :
This trail also cuts through bamboo forest
with many wild life to see such as red pandas,
wild boars, langur monkeys and Himalayan black
bears etc. |
| Day 06 : |
Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,307m)
: The route follows Gumnachok, Ghoda
Tabela (3,000m), Langtang National Park Headquarters.
Gompas, lodges, hotels and man many tea shops
are available along the route. |
| Day 07 : |
Langtang to Dyanjin Gompa (3,800m)
: The trail is made longer to account
for the acclimatization required, Also there
is the famous cheese factory, run by the Swiss
Association for Technical since 1955, to explore. |
| Day 08 : |
Acclimatisation day at Kyanjin
Gompa : On this day we hike up to
the top of a glacier north of Kyanjin (4,300m).
At this height you can view the spectacular
scenery of Kyanjin Ri, Langtang Lirung and
the other major glacier in this area. Also
in the distance are langshira Ri (6,310m),
Gang Chenpo (6,388m) and Tsergo Peak (5,749m). |
| Day 09 : |
Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel :
The trail continues to the Lama Hotel. |
| Day 10 : |
Lama Hotel to Syabru :
This Trek is easier to walk down and back
to Syabru. |
| Day 11 : |
Syabru to Dhunche |
| Day 12 : |
6/7 hours drive back to Kathmandu from
Dhunche. |
| Day 13 : |
Visit Patan and Bhaktapur City |
| Day 14 : |
Day leisure |
| Day 15 : |
Departure to airport. |
