Day 1. Dhunche
Kathmandu to Dhunche(1950m):
the breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna II, Ganesh
Himal and other minor peaks are visible along
the drive
Day 2. Syabru (start
trek)
Dhunche to Syabru. (2110m):
This
trail follows a deep valley to shorten the trek.
Next is the climb of 2300m to reach the Tamang
village of Syabru. The trail cuts through a bamboo
forest giving you the chance to see many birds.
Day 3. Lama Hotel
Syabru to Lama Hotel (2380m):
This trial also cuts through bamboo forests with
marry wild life to see such as re pandas, wild
boars, langur monkeys and Himalayan black bears
etc.
Day 4. Langtang
Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3307m):
The route follows Gumanchok, Ghoda tabela (3000m),
Langtang (3500m) which is the Langtang National
Park Headquarters, Gompas, Lodges, hotels and
many tea shops are available along the future.
Day 5. Kyajin Gompa
Langtang to Kyajin Gompa (3800m):
The trail is made loner to account for the acclimatization
required. Also there is the famous cheese factory,
turn by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance
since 1955, explore.
Day 6. Kyanjin gompa
Acclimatization day at Kyajin gompa :
On this day we hike up to the top of a glacier
north of Kyanjin(4300m). At the height, you can
view the spectacular scenery of Kyanjin R1, Langtang
Lirung and the other major glaciers in this area.
Also in the distance are Langhisa RI (6310m) Gang
Chempo (6388m) and Tsergo Peak (5749m)
Day 7. Lama Hotel
Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel :
The trail continues to the Lama Hotel
Day 8. Syabru
Lama Hotel to Syabru:
This trek
is easier to walk down and back to Syabru
Day 9 Dhunche
Syabru to Dhunche
Day 10. Kathmandu
6/7 hours back by bus to Kathmandu from Dhunchhe.
