Helambu |
| Along with the Langtang Valley and Gosainkund, the Helambu is a very popular trek. The area is popular by the unique Helambu Sherpa who have a different language, culture, dress and customs as the Khumbhu sherpas found on the other treks. |
Day 1. Chisopani
Bus from Kathmandu to Sundarijal then trek to Chisopani
Day 2 Gul Bhanjyang
Chisapani to Gul Bhanjyang (2130m):
Route goes through the Pati Bhanjyang valley the land of the Brahmins and Chhetris. There are some hotels and tea shops as well as a police station here. The path then follows a steep ascent to Chipling at 21170m, followed by a stone staircase of 200m climb on at a pass at 2470m. Gul Bhanjhyang is at a height of 2130m and consists of a tamang Village.
Day 3. Tharepati
Gul Bhanjyang to Tharepati (3490m):
This trek follows a trail two top ridges. From these two points, Yuri Danda and Panghu, danda 3285m there is a spectacular view of the mountain series.
Day 4 Tarkeghyang
Tharepati to Tarkeghyang:
This is a very interesting village fro trekkers, as well as being the largest in the area. Tarke Ghyang has slightly commercialized due to the local good antique sellers.
Day 5 Rest day.
Day 6 Shermathang.
4 Hours walk to Shermathang, passes through the Rhododendron forest. it is beautiful village and could have magnificent views of mountains.
Day 7 Melamchi Bazaar/Kathamandu.
This is a highlight of the trek at stunning views of the streams, water falls and landslides are amazing. Taking bus to kathmandu.
Day 8 Kathmandu
Day 09: Drive to Chitawan for 2nights/3days programme
Day 10: Full day excursions
Day 11: Return to Kathmandu
Day 12: Departure to airport for final destination.
