About Annapurna

Annapurna Sanctuary area is the most popular trekking area attracting trekkers by having alpine flora and fauna. The major inhabitants are mongoloid people. It is also known as very commercialized and avalanches on both winter and early spring seasons.

The Maximum elevation of this trek will be at the Annapurna Base Camp 3,900m. In addition, this trek offers a chance to view a panoramic scene of the Annapurna ranges, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Himchuli etc. No doubt it could be a lifetime experience for those whom trek into this region.

Day 1. Kathmandu
Arrival Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel

Day 2. Kathmandu
Full day sight seeing in Kathmandu valley

Day 3. Pokhara
Drive out from Kathmandu on park to Pokhara by bus and then either hotel or camping at Pokhara

Day 4. Tirkedhunga
Pokhara to Tirkedhunga, (1.577m):
First trekking day after 4/5 hours trek camping at Tirkedhunga

Day 5. Ghorepani
Tirekhedhunga to Ghorepani (2855m):
At poonhill this is a really beautiful place to enjoy the mountain environment

Day 6. Tadapani
Ghorepani to Tadapani (1189m):
Continue to trek at usual time of 4/5 hours to another camping Place Tadapani.

Day 7. Chomrong
Tadapani to Chomrong (1951m):
After crossing a beautiful Gurung village one of the ethnic groups in Nepal we camp at chhomrong

Day 8. Dovan
Chomrong to Dovan (2430) The trail leads to chomrong via Khola, a bamboo, oak and rhododendrom forests, then there is a climb up to an elevation of 2250 in known as Sinuwa. During summer there is chance of leeches along the trek.

Day 9. Deorali
Dovan to Deorali 3000 in:
Hinko at 2960 in is a dangerous place for avalanches. Food and accommodation is reported to very expensive at deurali. It is better to pay for over night and meal together.

Day 10. Annapurna base camp
Deurali to Annapurna ase camp 3900 in :
Except autumn and late spring the trail will remain blocked due to the avalanches. A panaromic view of Hiunchuli Annapurna 189 lin Annapurna In 7555 in Gangapurna 7454 in Machhapuchre can be seen

Day 11. Bamboo lodge
Annapurna BC to Bamboo lodge 2190 in The trek is a back to Bamboo lodge

Day 12. Chhomrong
Bamboo Lodge to Chhomrong 2040 in Trails leads to Chiling then descend slightly again in chomrong

Day 13. Landrung
Chomrong to Landrung 1150 m:
It is a camping spot where a donation is given for local schools and Gurung village

Day 14. Dhampus
Landrung to Dhampus 1580m:
few hotels and tea house are available at Dhampus for the tourist. During the night thieves may cut through tourist tents. Even so the mountain views are outstanding and definetly worth trek.

Day 15. Pokhara
Dhampus to Pokhara

Day 16. Kathmandu
Back to Kathmandu from Pokhara
